Request for Proposals: SEWHA Executive Secretary and Secretariat
The Southeast World History Association (SEWHA) invites proposals from members seeking to assume the office of Executive Secretary and provide an institutional home for the association’s Secretariat for a five-year term (calendar 2018-2022).
Responsibilities of Position
The Secretariat is responsible for the ongoing administration of SEWHA. The Executive Secretary is responsible for carrying out continuing operations, including (but not limited to) keeping minutes, maintaining the association’s records, and assisting with the annual conference. For a complete list of the responsibilities of the position, see the SEWHA Constitution, Article 4, Section 5. The Executive Secretary is a member of the SEWHA Executive Committee.
Interested members should submit a proposal including the following:
- Expression of individual interest in the office of Executive Secretary; and
- A statement of support from the candidate’s home department or institution, in favor of the candidate assuming the office of Executive Secretary and the department or institution becoming the institutional home of SEWHA.
Proposals should be received no later than November 15, 2017.
